ABOUT ME

and I have been obsessed with Makeup my entire life!

I’m originally from a tiny village just outside Oban, Argyll on the west coast of Scotland and from a very early age, I was absolutely obsessed with playing around with lipstick and eyeshadow. I moved to Glasgow to study Journalism at university but I had always wanted to become a Makeup Artist, so when I realised that my passion for makeup far outweighed my love for writing, I went to college to study Makeup Artistry. It was the best decision I’ve ever made!

I’ve been a makeup artist for over 15 years and I specialise in Bridal, Editorial, Commercial and Occasion makeup. Whilst at college, I started working for Bobbi Brown Cosmetics, where I worked for 7 years and became part of their Advanced Artistry team, doing makeup for shows and events all over the UK. I left Bobbi Brown in 2015 to go freelance and set up my makeup studio in Glasgow city centre, a relaxing, private space where I do makeup appointments, lessons and trials.

I have maintained a consistently high standard of work throughout my career and I am always looking to continuously improve my skills and artistry every year - this is a job that is ever evolving and trends change so quickly, so I always make a point of continuing my education and bettering myself as an artist year on year to maintain the highest possible standards of artistry and customer service for my clients.

I’m a big fan of meeting new people and this job has allowed me to meet and chat to so many incredible people. Having a great conversation is one of my favourite parts of my job and I really believe that good communication and connecting with someone is the key to having a great makeup experience, it really helps to relax you.

I live in the west end of Glasgow with my husband Jim and when I’m not working I love going to gigs (music is another huge passion of mine), going for long walks and hanging out with my friends and family for a cup of tea or a glass of wine or two.
